What Students Say

 This was a great experience, and we believe the Bradley class helped prepare us mentally for the occasion.  It may seem that I am bragging, but I cannot hide the way Jen handled her entire pregnancy and delivery.  I could not ever imagine delivering a baby, but Jen made it look easy!  I am so proud of her and it just goes to show that with education, a positive mindset and some good old fashoined mental toughness, it CAN be done, AND be a pleasure!  Once again, thanks!

And then, Wren was born!  I have NEVER ever felt such ecstasy in all my life.  Dr. Murray turned her little bottom to me and asked, "What do you have?" I yelled, "A girl!!!!"  I couldn't believe it!  They laid her on my chest and she was absolutely perfect.  I went from feeling some of the most intense pain of my life to feeling absolutely the best I have ever felt.  Way better than any drug could ever be.  I was high, high as a kite.  I kept saying, "I can't believe it," over and over again. I couldn't believe that she was here, that she was so perfect, that I actually did it.  Angela told me later that I said, "I am in love with the whole world!"   And I was....

One year update: By the way, you should tell your students that I still count my birth experience as THE greatest achievement of my life and THE greatest experience of my life as well.  Not to sound too corny, but it is SO true.

We were very glad we took the Bradley classes, and felt they really prepared us for this amazing experience.  As you can see by the picture, Baby Kerrington is the most beautiful baby ever born.  She has really taken to breastfeeding and both Jess and her are very healthy and happy.    Thanks for all your help, Sarah!

Thanks so much for the education that gave us ample strategies to cope with the labor, and ample knowledge to face each moment with confidence.  We think of you and the impact you have had on our lives often.   Thank you for helping us bring our little man into this world!

From this.....       to this!  





First off, coaches,  you will absolutely get tested by your lovely wives and they will tell you that they can not "do this" or that you are not listening to them, etc.  But remember - it is part of the process and not necessarily what they really want.  If you are in a place where they are telling you that they can not do this, then you know you are seeing a part of the process as opposed to them really wanting to give in.  It is very surreal, but you will recognize the difference.  It was the only time I hesitated.  Thank God I had a great team there helping me as they supported me when I told Aletha that we were just going to get through this one contraction.  Finally, you will not get any better reward for all your hard work than when you get to see your new child and it is just you and your new family together.  It is worth everything you just went through!

This was our first baby, and my husband and I wanted to do it right.  We knew we wanted to have a natural, unmedicated birth, but we had no idea what to expect or how to cope with whatever we would be faced with.  Sarah was confident, friendly and down-to-earth.  She had a balanced approach and wasn't too "out there" as far as the natural birthing mentality goes.  She kept her classes interesting and very interactive and her information is up to date with the most recent news and studies.  We also felt comfortable enough to ask any questions we had. 

By the end of the twelve weeks, we had learned so much and we both felt well prepared. I was especially glad my husband knew how to effectively help me during labor. We both agreed that I probably would have been much more frightened and gotten the epidural if we didn’t have the knowledge we’d gained from the classes.

I couldn't have asked for a better birth experience!
